Karl Koch – Physiotherapist (owner)

Karl enrolled at the School of Physiotherapy in Dunedin in 1986.  After gaining experience in various physiotherapy settings he opened Shirley – St Albans Physiotherapy in 1995.  With over 30 years of experience, Karl’s areas of interest and specialty include the treatment of spinal disorders, sports injury rehabilitation and post surgical orthopaedic rehabilitation.  Karl gained a Post Graduate diploma qualification in Manipulation and Manual Therapy in 1997 and became a Credentialed McKenzie Therapist in 2008.  Karl has been involved with the Canterbury Rugby team as a physiotherapist in the past and is currently involved with the West Coast NPC Rugby team, Western Football,  Shirley Cricket and Parklands Football.

 

 

 

Anna Jone – Physiotherapist

Anna is an invaluable member of our team. She has a keen interest in musculoskeletal injuries and helping people to manage their injuries, achieve their goals, and return to function.  Anna has also enjoyed working with the West Coast NPC Rugby team.  

 

Dominic Oberhumer – Physiotherapist

Dominic has recently joined our team. He has a strong interest in hand therapy and upper limb conditions especially those related

to sport-climbing injuries
 
 

Julie Koch – Practice Manager

Julie enjoys the diversity of her role and meeting and greeting clients, making them feel welcome.   Originally from Dunedin, Julie graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce from Otago University and in 1990 moved to Christchurch to further her career.  Julie worked in a variety of company settings over the next few years as an accountant, before getting married and starting a family in the late 90’s.
