Karl Koch – Physiotherapist

Karl enrolled at the School of Physiotherapy in Dunedin in 1986.  After gaining experience in various  physiotherapy settings he opened the Shirley – St Albans Physiotherapy clinic in 1995.  Karls areas of interest and speciality have included the treatment of spinal disorders, sports injury rehabilitation and post surgical orthopaedic rehabilitation.

Karl gained a post graduate diploma in Manipulation and Manual Therapy in 1997 and became a credentialed McKenzie therapist in 2008.  Karl has been involved with the Canterbury Rugby team as a physiotherapist in the past and is currently involved with the West Coast NPC Rugby team, Shirley Rugby Club and Western Soccer Club.  Karl is married and has two young adult children.

Adele Sullivan – Physiotherapist

Adele has recently joined our clinic and brings with her a wealth of experience.  Adele has over twenty five years of experience in working with a wide range of musculo-skeletal conditions.  Adele has a Diploma of Physiotherapy, a Post graduate certificate in Health Science, and has completed a post graduate diploma course in Manipulative Physiotherapy.

Adele has a special interest with back and neck injuries, complex pain management issues, breathing disorders, McKenzie technique back care, Mulligan techniques, neural tension and dysfunction, pelvic floor and incontinence, manual lymphatic drainage (MLD).

Adele is married with two young adult children.

Abby Morton – Physiotherapist 

Abby is a UK- trained physiotherapist with over 20 years experience in the musculoskeletal field. Having lived and worked in New Zealand many years ago before returning to the UK to continue her career in the private sector, Abby has recently returned to live in Christchurch with her husband and 2 young children.

Abby uses a wide range of clinical skills, including manual therapy and acupuncture, and is passionate about empowering people to influence their own health.

Julie Koch – Practice Manager

Julie has worked part-time at the clinic over the last 16 years and enjoys meeting new people in her role as practice Manager.   Originally from Dunedin, Julie graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce Degree (Accounting) from Otago University and in 1990 moved to Christchurch to further her career.  Julie worked in a variety of company settings over the next 7 years as an Accountant, before getting married and starting a family in the late 90’s.  Julie’s interests include listening to music, reading, art, fashion, and shopping.  She is married with two young adult children.

Cilla Jamison- Receptionist/Office Admin

Cilla has recently joined our team.  Having worked previously in an Office Manager role for a local Optometrist, Cilla is now enjoying the new challenge of working at our clinic.

Cilla is a friendly and bubbly person who enjoys meeting clients from all walks of life and interacting with our clinic staff.
